DESCRIPTION:NYC Freegan Meetup\n\nAfter the binge\, the purge. In the days 
 after X-mas\, stores throw out lots of their “leftover” holiday goods\, and
  individuals start throwing out a vast array of stuff.  We will explore and
  collect the food and non-food items discarded at this time\,  give advice 
 on salvaging these goods\, and comment on the reasons for such waste. We’ll
  also be collecting food for our freegan feast on Monday the 28th. Media WI
 LL be welcome with appointment.  Meet at 9pm in front of Grocer John’s\, wh
 ich is on 14th Street on the north side\, between 5th and 6th Avenues\, in
